Reflecting on the Success of Our Fundraiser Event!
Dear Conservation Friends,
We are thrilled to share the incredible success of our recent Billfish Conservation Project Fundraiser event held on February 16, 2024 at Dolores, but you call me Lolita in Miami during Miami International Boatshow.
Your support, enthusiasm, and dedication made this event truly memorable, and we cannot thank you enough for contributing to the conservation of these magnificent creatures.
Event Highlights:
Gratitude & Welcome Reception: The evening began with heartfelt thanks to all attendees and a warm welcome to our valued supporters.
Inspiring Keynote Address: Juan Manuel Cobar, Director of operations presented a brief of success in 2023 thanks to all supporters and then expert Dr. Nelson Ehrnhardt explained the scientific project called: Seasonal availability of sailfish in sport fisheries in Guatemala contrasts significantly with sport billfish catch rate trends in other countries in the region and shared insightful perspectives on the importance of billfish conservation and the impact of collective efforts in the future.
Fundraising Auction: The highlight of the night! Thanks to your generosity, our fundraising auction was a tremendous success, raising money thru our silent and live auction to support our ongoing initiatives.
Your Impact: The funds raised during the event will directly contribute to vital initiatives focused on billfish conservation, including research and monitoring, habitat protection, and education and outreach programs. Your support is instrumental in ensuring the sustainability of these iconic species and the health of our oceans.
